Of course the weather is always sunny in Holland now that we are here on holiday.

General weather info:
Generally the Netherlands has a moderate climate, with very pleasant summers. Winters are considered mild, yet most canals and rivers do freeze, and frigid temperatures are typical, though brief.

It is frequently windy here due to the extremely flat landscape, and in many ways, that wind benefits the country as weather conditions change quickly, so bad weather seldom lasts long.

Rainfall is evenly split throughout the year, with the lowest amounts falling along the coast. Heavy fog is common along those coastal areas, especially in fall and early winter.

As for sunshine, spring and winter months offer only brief breaks from North Sea and rainy-day cloud cover, but summers do improve, and in June and July, 7 hours per day is just about the average.
